Chair Redo

In the past year I have done many little projects around the house.  Mostly they have been repainting a piece of furniture that I already have (bought at trinkets & togs or goodwill).  Here is a set of chairs.

I’m so disappointed that I didn’t get a before picture of them.  I bought them for $5. each years ago.  They were a dated brown.  I painted them black & recovered the seat with a very light grey material.  Tired of the black I wanted to lighten them up.  Thank goodness for Annie Sloan & her awesome chalk paint.

In the picture the two white square tables were also painted just recently by Chelsea.  They were also bought for really cheap & that dated brown wood color.   Again, no before picture.  (I have to get better about taking pictures).  The thing is, I usually start something & then think “oh I should blog this” , missing my opportunity of a “before” picture.

I bought batting to put over the seat.

Stapling the material, I like to fold the edge under.

Only the corners are left.

I don't like the present look...So I staple & pull each piece of the corner until there are no creases in the material.

Using 4 screws I attached the cushions back onto the chairs.  Quick & easy redo.  They really lightened up the room.  I’m so glad I picked this fabric.  It goes perfectly with my banner over my fireplace.
