Me & Mags

Soaking up the love

Happy Mother’s Day!

I had big dreams of writing a beautiful post YESTERDAY about my mom, my mother in law & all of the AMAZING women in my life who have had a huge impact on me in honor of Mother’s Day….but life is just so busy…

Instead just know that I love you all and am very blessed to have each of you in my life.

My Mother’s Day

I was showered once again with homemade heartfelt gifts from my kiddos.  Those are truly the best gifts.  I LOVE to see what their interpretation is of what I would like.

Started off with breakfast in bed: peanut butter & jelly sandwich & coffee.  Loved every bite.  Thanks George.

And then the gifts:

The goods.

Camden & Charlie were telling me about how they were picking out the stickers & painting their frames…and how their friends were putting rocket stickers on their frames “and they were making their frames how THEY would want it not the way THEIR MOM would like it…” . Funny that they would even think about that.  Pretty sweet actually.

Jack picked out this card and had everyone sign it.  So sweet.  Not a day goes by that I don’t cherish at least one moment with these kiddos.  I’m enjoying this morning and soaking up their love.  Life is way too short.  I truly dread the day that they are all grown & out of the house.  I love saying goodnight and knowing that they are all tucked in safely.

Not every moment is perfect.  Being a mom is so many things: exciting, tiring, memorable, exhausting, fun, new experiences, rewarding, frustrating, funny, hard….the list goes on and on.  I wouldn’t trade it.  Even the bad days.  I LOVE being a mom & I LOVE being their mom.

Thank you Lord for each of these precious gifts.  So honored that He has entrusted me to raise them.  My promise is to try to not take any day for granted.  Let’s keep creating memories.
