Magpie Turns the big 1
It’s hard to believe that this peanut has just turned 1. I know we all wonder where the time has gone…but seriously this year with Maggie has flown by. What a little blessing. It has been so sweet to watch my kiddos from the oldest to the youngest
fawn & love all over Maggie. STILL, they argue about who gets to get her out of her crib & who gets to hold her. So sweet. And Daddy just melts when she dives into his arms and leans in for her “kiss”. She is one lucky little lady.
Let me see what I can tell you about Mags…she is a people person!!! LOVES everybody & will smile and wave to EVERYONE, constantly! Funny story about that…she was 8 months old & I had to run into Best Buy to get my computer fixed and so I carry Maggie in with my computer. She’s looking over my shoulder behind me & smiling and a little jumpy in my arms very excited. So I’m thinking “oh there must be a grandma or something waving to her”…we get inside & I quick get a chance to look behind me and it’s this burly dude, long beard & oakly shiney sunglasses that she was so excited about. Too funny. I think she may have watched a little Duck Dynasty in her early life with her brothers. Ha ha.
Maggie LOVES animals. I think she is going to truly be a little farm girl in a tutu of coarse. : ) We read lots of books but her favorite are the animal books. For the last month she’s been trying to make some of the animal sounds. Most of the time her cow sounds like it’s crowling. We went to the state fair for the first time this summer & went into the big barn with the pigs & cows. Oh my she was in heaven. We leaned in close letting her hold onto one of the gates so she could get a closer look. Boy was she mad when we moved on. You’d think it was her pig she was leaving behind.
Little Magpie has pretty much thought she was a BIG girl from about 2 months on. Started walking at 10 1/2 months. I guess she really wanted to keep up with all of her siblings. And mama too. : ) Not much of a sleeper AT ALL and LOVES to GO GO GO. My kinda girl.
We pray that we will have another safe & wonderful year of many many firsts with this sweetie.
